Having an e-body and a 69 b-body,and just aquiring a 72 RR GTX,I have a BS found under the rear seat,are the other locations typical,under carpet,under front seats/or seat backs.Any different spots they could be?thanks

I have read that behind the glove box is another spot. Could be urban legend, but it does seem possible.

I saw a BS come from under the package shelf and also from under the headliner. It seems as though they ended up wherever the last line worker decided to put them, almost like a scavenger hunt type deal...

They can be behind the glovebox. There can be none or more than one. Each sub assembly area had one so as the car came down the line, there would be the metal one (now known as the fender tag) to get through paint, one on the dash assembly, one on the seats, one would be taped to the front of the hood at some point. Once the assembly or the complete vehicle reached the end of it's build procedure they were no longer needed by the line workers so some went in the car and some went in the garbage.
