metal cleaning prep for paint . what should i use

once i get the patch panels welded in the firewall and the udercoating off of the inner fender area , what should i clean the metal with to get it ready for paint ?

i used AIRCRAFT stripper in some areas of the engine bay and alot of it plus KEROSENE & PAINT THINNER/MINERIL SPARITS for the under coating on the inner fenders .

i want to be sure im on bare metal before primming & paint . so what steps & products should i take and use to clean the metal ?

Hi Rav. I' m near the same stage with my 'Bird and havent found a lot of info on the forums for body work. Try this one autobodystore.com/forum/index.php I found it the other day and they are very helpful and have videos and tutorials on bodywork. I'll probably do everything by myself cept the final blocking and painting. Good luck!
