There has been alot of discussion regarding the way the '70 Roadrunner has been classified on this forum. Some have said the car should be goruped with the '68 & '69's and others would like to see a section dedicated to the 1970 exclusively and still some think it's ok where it is. So, with this dilemma I am asking for every member's input. Cast your vote in the poll and the majority will rule. The poll will be open through the weekend and will close at 6PM Eastern on Sunday 13 September, 2009.

I think it should be with the 68 and 69 cars. There were a number of changes that year but the basic platform was the same as the other two. For sure it represents a bridge between the "pure" Road Runner concept of 68 and 69 and the 71 and up models where more flash began to be added into the mix. In the end though the styling is still easily recognizable as the 1st generation Road Runner.

It does not fit with the `71 up birds as there was a major body style change and hence a lot of differences.I would be fine with either in with the `68-9 or a `70 only section.I voted to put it in with the `68-9 as the basic platform and mechanical stuff is the same.

The only real difference in the 68-69's and the 70's is the exterior sheet metal, bucket seat style and dash. They do have the same doors as the 68-69's. Even the 68 and 69 have different exterior sheet metal components even though they look similar. I voted to make life easy and place the 70's with the 68-69's.

70 should be with the 68-69 same doors , same glass , same roof , same basic chassis , just alittle different front and rear sheet metal .

I have a 71 RR, my brother has a 70 RR. Now I can tell you they are so different in appearance it's not funny.
Can you put a 70 Charger in the same group as the 71 Charger? Probable not.
68/69/70 just seem to belong together
71/72-73/74 in another group together.
The "Fury", "Volare" badged Road Runner another story entirely.
I like them all anyway! LOL

I think it would fit with the 68-69 group better than where it's at. It's really not too much of a deal since it's right in the title of the group so it's easy to find.

A lot of one year only stuff on that year for all mopars so I would be inclined to put it in its own catagory.

ideally it would be in its own catagory, but it makes things much easier to put it in with the 68-69's.
I voted for the 68-69 group.

As everyone can see, the results are overwhelming. The '70 Road Runner will now be associated with the 68 & 68 Birds. Please ensure any posts related to the '70 Road Runner is posted in the appropriate section.
